Why Multimedia?

Why use multimedia learning objects? Why not just plain text? Well, the most obvious reason is that plain text is only that: plain text! Give me pictures, give me audio, give me more than words on a page.

This video created in 2007 by Kansas State University students in Michael Wesch’s anthropology course demonstrates the overall need for education to move. We need real engagement with each other, online and in our classrooms.
